CORE Hip Specialists
About Hip Care
At CORE, we take a multidisciplinary approach to treating a wide range of hip conditions, including:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Muscle tears
- Bone spurs
We will work with you to diagnose your condition and devise a treatment plan that may first include nonsurgical options such as rest, physical therapy, injections or over-the-counter medications to relieve pain and inflammation. But, if your symptoms persist or get worse, surgical intervention or a total hip replacement may be the best option.
Experts in Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques
At CORE, we specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques that decrease pain and recovery time. Most of our procedures are laparoscopic and/or use robotic capabilities, resulting in smaller incisions, minimal blood loss and reduced scarring. Types of surgical procedures for the hip include:
- Hip arthroscopy
- Hip resurfacing
- Iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS) release
If you have severe hip degeneration and your pain can no longer be controlled by medication, you may be a candidate for MAKOplasty® Total Hip Replacement.
MAKOplasty total hip joint replacement uses the RIO® robotic arm, which allows your surgeon to achieve a new level of accuracy. Before surgery, the RIO® system’s software creates a 3-D model of your hip based on a CT scan. Your surgeon will then place your implant based on your unique anatomy.
Benefits of this procedure include better outcomes and fewer complications. There is also a reduced risk of leg length discrepancy. If you would like more information about MAKOplasty procedures, please call 918-925-3230.
